Q. Who are we?
A. We are just two dudes that that love 2 strokes. We started as a pedal-style moped shop offering sales and service in 2019, but have transitioned into importing small displacement scooters primarily out of Japan.
Q. Where does the used inventory come from?
A. Our used parts come from bikes we have imported directly from Japan! We work with multiple Japanese vendors in order to track down exotic and unique vintage bikes.
Q. Is this item really in stock?
A. If an item says it is in stock, it truly is in stock.
Q. Can you import me a specific part?
A. No.
Q. What should I expect buying a scooter from Pike Cycles?
A. You should expect to get the scooter as seen in the listing. We try our best to accurately photograph each scooter that is posted for sale. No smoke and mirrors here. Wear items such as tires, belts, brakes, cables and other parts that have aged over time should be replaced before riding them. All scooters are sold in "As Is" condition and come with a Bill of Sales from Pike Cycles Inc. to you. They do not come with titles. Please check with your state on registration requirement prior to purchase. All sales on bikes are final.
Q. How are the scooters shipped?
A. We ship scooters fully enclosed within a small crate. After an order is placed, we build a custom crate to secure the scooter during transit. The crate is equipped with a palletized base to which the scooter is secured. Once the scooters are secured, a shell is built around the palletized base and off it goes!
Q. Where can I have the scooters shipped to?
We ship bikes from our shop to a business address of your choosing within the lower 48 states (no loading dock needed!) You can also choose to ship the scooter directly to a residential address for an additional fee.
Q. After ordering a scooter, how long does it take for the bike to arrive?
It can take anywhere from 3-4 weeks from the day you purchase the bike to when the bike will be delivered. The included shipping is only for the lower 48 states, if you are from Alaska or Hawaii please reach out about shipping cost before purchasing a bike from the site.
